Wish List

Wow! I haven't been on in a while! School has started up and it's been pretty hectic. My mom also redid her room so we had to shuffle around all of the bedroom furniture, so my doll room was a wreck for a while. (For those of you who didn't know, my doll room is actually a legitimate room. It was my brother's old room before he moved out and got married.)

So I've been doing some browsing on the AG website, and I've come up with a little wish list.

1) The Science Lab Set

This set is absolutely adorable and SO realistic. Piper and Lanie are both dying for it.

2) The Stackable Lunch Set

I've always wanted a little doll lunchbox, and this one is such a unique design and I think it would be fun to have.

3) The Frosty Fair Isle Outfit (weird name)

My girls are in serious need of some cold weather clothes, and I adore this outfit. It's a little expensive though so I'm not sure if I will buy it anytime soon.

4) The Flower Sweater and Skirt Outfit
I think I may have a slight obsession with this outfit. The shoes remind me of Taylor Swift (who is my idol if no one knew), and the skirt and shirt are to die for. Even though it's a little high in price, I will definitely be purchasing it.

5) The Purple Peacock PJ's
I don't have very many nice PJ sets for my dolls at all. Most of them are old and ratty from when I was 8, or made by me also when I was 8. I really love the color and style of these.

6) The Butterfly Garden PJ's + Robe and Pillow

These are so cute! They match Miranda's bedroom almost perfectly. I also really like the robe because it's actually warm and fluffy, not like the stupid "bath-wraps" that American Girl keeps coming out with. (Sorry for some reason the top picture is blurry? Maybe it will go away when I post this.)

7) The Brocade Holiday Dress

Every year my grandma gets my sister and I the latest holiday dresses from AG. I've been very unhappy with the ones the past few years though, so advised my grandma to save her money. This one is amazing though. It's FINALLY not red. I mean just because it's the Christmas season, doesn't mean that all the dresses need to be red.

8) Julie's Cap and Scarf
I've drooled over Julie's cap and scarf since I was 9. I'm not sure why I never bought it. But I love the pom pom and how it matches the scarf and I think it's just absolutely adorable.

So there you have it. I'm cringing right now because the grand total of all of these items is: $248, not including tax and shipping costs. So needless to say, I probably won't be getting all of this anytime soon. I will purchase some once I have a surplus of money, and the rest will be on my Christmas list. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not think I am spoiled. I work hard for my allowance money, and my sister and I are the only girl grandchildren that are grandma has. I posted this only to show you guys what I am interested in on americangirl.com right now. So anyway, comment and let me know what stuff is on your wish list! Oh, and happy almost dolloween :)

The Last Doll

There's something sort of sad about knowing your doll buying days will end. I feel like for me to have more than 12 dolls would be excessive.

But wait.

I have 11 dolls!

So that means I'm getting one more!

I've been throwing around the idea of a few different dolls for a while now, and I've finally fallen in love with a specific one: My AG number 55.

She's just so gorgeous. (These aren't my pictures by the way...I found them on google images. Creds to whoever took them!)

I'm going to start saving up for her now, but it will be hard because my dad isn't giving me any allowance until my new iPhone 5s is paid off. *sigh* I suppose he's right to do that though since I really didn't NEED a new phone. But anyway.

I've decided to name her Scotland Alara. I think that name is just so perfect for her. I'm unsure of what age I'll give her though, so I'll update you guys on that when I know!

So yes, Scotland will be my last doll. From Nellie to Julie to Quinn to Scotland, my little doll family has gotten pretty big. I remember in 2nd grade when a girl in my class had 4 dolls and I thought that was a lot! 12 is a lot. Maybe some think I'm spoiled, or that I spend too much time and money on them, but I love them all. My dolls have gotten me through so much in my life and I can never forget that.

So girls, I love you all so very much. <3

My Sister's Dolls

After seeing my family photoshoot with all 11 of my girls, my sister little was inspired and asked me to help her do the same. She has 8 dolls: Abby (6), Laine (6) (Lanie, but she changed the spelling), Kanani (9), Mia (almost 11) (she's the Ivy doll), Kit (8), Catlin (4) (She's the McKenna doll), Brennan (almost 7) (she's My AG #37), and Auburn (7) (She's the Saige doll).

So I've uploaded some of the pictures from the photoshoot below. Enjoy!

This is Kanani and Catlin. Kanani is wearing Brennan's meet outfit, and Catlin is wearing a shirt from the AGP, a skirt that my sister made, and the Berry sneakers from the AGP.

This is Kit and Abby. I'm really unhappy with this picture because the lighting was horrible, but it was like 90 degrees out when we took this, and we were trying to get it done as fast as possible. Kit is wearing an outfit from etsy.com, and her meet shoes. Abby is wearing a jumper from an art festival, a shirt from the AGP party package, and her meet shoes.

This is Mia. I think this was my favorite picture from the photoshoot. She looks SO pretty. She's wearing Ivy's Rainbow Romper that I got my sister for her birthday. I also got her Julie's swimsuit.

This is Laine and Brennan. Laine is wearing McKenna's meet outfit, and Brennan is wearing Saige's meet outfit. Brennan normally wears glasses, but there was a glare on them from the crazy sun, so she took them off for the pictures.

This is Auburn. She's my sister's newest doll, given to her for her birthday from our grandma. Auburn is wearing a dress that my sister made for her.

And lastly, here are all of my sister's dolls. I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Instagram

Hey guys! I just made an Instagram devoted to Amercan Girls. My username is: 10amazinggirls . Feel free to follow me!

However, my account is set as private, so I'll have to approve if you can follow me or not. agoverseasfan was having a big problem with users stealing her pictures, so I don't want that to happen to me. If I find out that people are stealing my pictures, then I'll have to start putting my watermark on them. Please don't be the jerk to create more work for me.

Also, many people have had trouble with hate comments on Instagram. I will block and report anyone who posts hate on my pictures. If you don't like dolls, then you shouldn't be on a doll Instagram account.

Anyway, I have Instagram right on my phone, so I'll be updating often! Sorry if any of this sounded harsh, I just really wanted to make myself clear. See ya later(:

Family Photoshoot

Hey guys! (And Happy Mother's Day.) Sorry I haven't been on in so long! Everything has just been hectic. But a few weeks ago, on the first warm day of the season, I took all eleven of the girls out for a photoshoot. I've attached some of the pictures below so you can see them. There's not enough to make them into a slideshow for YouTube, but I'm going to print them out and hang them up in the girls' room.

Here's Nellie and Lanie. This picture was one of my favorites, because it looked so realistic. Nellie has on Saige's (Piper's) meet outfit, and Lanie has on Kanani's (Alana's).

Here's Julie and Sofi. Julie has on a dress that I made, and pink Toms that I ordered off of easy.com. They were about $12. Sofi has on a button down from a craft fair, a blue tank top that I'm not sure where I got, a skirt that I made, and sandals from American Girl.

Here's Emily and Jess. Jess has on Alana's pajama shirt, capris from American Girl, and blue ballet flats, also from American Girl. Emily has on a shirt that I made, a belt that was mine, but I cut it to fit them, a jean skirt from Target, and American Girl sandals that came on Julie.

Here's Piper and Miranda. Piper's shirt and skirt are both from etsy.com, and her shoes are from a craft fair. Miranda's whole outfit is from Saige's collection at American Girl.

Here's Quinn and Alana. I made the shirt that Alana is wearing, her shorts are from Target, and her shoes came on Jess. Quinn's whole outfit, minus the shoes, is from Target. Her shoes came on Lanie.

This is my other favorite picture. Since I have an odd number of dolls, Bella had to take her picture alone. Her shirt/dress was actually a baby dress, but I modified it to fit them. I wanted it to be longer, but I accidentally cut it too short. It still looks cute though. Her leggings and shoes are from Joann's. (She picked the little flowers to go in her hair... :-)

I took 3 group photos, all from different angles. I chose to upload this one though, because I think it turned out the best.

This is the one that I'm going to get framed. I used the app called InstaPicFrame to put all of the pictures together. Hope you enjoyed seeing all of these as much as I enjoyed taking them! I'm going sailing this weekend on my dad's boat, so expect a new photoshoot on my YouTube channel soon.

Laine's Photoshoot

My sister had a photoshoot with her beautiful doll, Laine the other day. (She's the Lanie doll but my sister changed the spelling of her name.) I was really impressed with the pictures she took, and decided to post them on here. Enjoy! (Oh and comment and let me know if I should make them into a YouTube slideshow or not.)

New Doll?

Yes...I know I just got Piper. And I'm so happy I did. She's absolutely beautiful and doesn't look anything like my other dolls. But I think I want just one more. I want one that's really unique and different from the dolls I have. So here are some pictures of dolls I'm considering.

I don't have any African American dolls and this one is so cute! Her hair seems easier to manage than most curly-haired dolls because her curls are shorter and smaller. She's one of my top choices. If I got her, I'd name her Skylar.
Something about this doll I really like. Her freckles are really cute and I like how her hair is wavy rather than board straight. She looks a lot like Quinn with brown hair though....so I'm not so sure. If I got her I would probably name her Eva or Jenna.

This doll is another one of my top choices. She doesn't really look like any of the dolls that I have, and I love her long loose curls. Her eyes are gorgeous too. If I got this doll, I'd name her Spencer.

I really like this doll. The only one of my girls that has bangs is Nellie, and Lanie sort of has bangs. Her eyes also really pop against her skin. If I got this doll, I'd name her Jenna. (As you can see, I like that name.)
Well that's all my doll ideas for now. I don't think I'll be getting her for a long time, since I just got Piper. Maybe at the end of the year, or even next year after I determine whether I like the GOTY for 2014. Let me know in the comments section which doll you like best!

New American Girl Items

So today I got an email from American Girl telling me that they had come out with some new items. Right away I was excited because I was starting to get sick of the same old stuff. So I'm going to give you guys a review on what I think about the new items. (Just my opinion guys... You don't have to believe the same way.)

I was really unhappy with this outfit. The shoes and shorts are cute but sort of plain. My girls have shoes just like that, but in a different color. The shorts are cute but kind of blah. And the shirt...Ugh. The two patterns clash horribly. It looks like someone picked two scraps of cloth and made them into a shirt. I definitely won't be purchasing it.
I really like this dress! I love the little bows on the shoes and the colors in the dress are really nice. I also like how it comes with I clip. However, it looks a lot like the Pretty Plaid Dress that American Girl came out with a few years ago, which I already have, so I doubt I will get this outfit.
Out of all the new items, this was by far my favorite. The shoes are soooo adorable. They really bring out the color of the rose and the clip. I love how the dress isn't purple or pink and girly looking. It looks like it would be for an older girl, so I bet Quinn and Emily will be begging me for it. I will most likely be purchasing this outfit. (If I can bring myself to cough up $30.)
I'm a little on the fence about this bath wrap. First off, it's a bath wrap. How many of you have actually ever WORN a bath wrap, because I know I haven't. (I'm not saying it's weird if you do.) I personally want a warm and fluffy robe to wrap up in after a shower or bath, and this doesn't fit the bill. I wish American Girl would make another robe like they made for Emily's collection. However, I really like the pattern, and I know Sofi especially would. Maybe it could be a birthday present for her?
This outfit is so cute and detailed! It looks like a real biking outfit. I don't think I'd ever have a use for it though, so I doubt I'll be purchasing it.

Well those are all of the new clothes. American Girl also came out with a new bike, but for some reason I can't upload the picture. If you want to see it just check americangirl.com. I hope you enjoyed reading about my opinions, and make sure you comment! I'd love to see what you guys think.

Nellie's New Hair

As some of you may know, Nellie is getting to be pretty old. This Christmas, I'll have had her for 9 years. Her hair was really starting to look it's age. The shiny blonde color was long gone, it was stiff and felt like straw, and I had also cut it when I was little, so it was more like Kit's length. I didn't really want to replace her whole head because I loved her pre-mattel face. I'd made so many memories with her the way she was. I browsed the internet for months to try and find a new wig, at no avail. I finally found one on Ebay that was an EXACT replica of Nellie's original wig. I was so happy! My mom ordered it for me, and it came in the mail yesterday. I watched a tutorial on stephenswodadancer's channel on how to rewig, and followed her instructions. I did not, however, use the nail polish remover like she suggested. (We were out.) I had heard many stories about rewigging take hours and hours, but removing Nellie's wig took all of 15 minutes. I've attached some pictures of what Nellie looked like before and after the rewigging.

This was Nellie before the rewigging. As you can see, her hair is very short and slightly uneven. My mom tried her best to fix it after I cut it as a little girl, but only so much could be done without shearing off all her hair.

And...ta da! Here's Nellie after! I absolutely love this wig. I can't even remember the last time that Nellie looked this way. Her hair is so soft and shiny. It's even long enough to put in a ponytail now!

So anyhoo...I'm very happy with the way that Nellie's hair turned out. I'm debating on whether or not to rewig Jess.... Comment and let me know if I should! I hope you all are having a good week! :) See ya soon.

Happy Birthday Bella!

Yesterday (February 1st) Bella turned four years old! We had her birthday party on Monday, and she had a lot of fun. She got a necklace, 3 pairs of earrings, and a LeapPad (which is like a little kid iPad.) She'll be getting more presents from my sister and friends soon. I've attached some pictures of the party below.

Here's Bella and her present :) She's wearing Saige's fancy outfit and has her hair clipped back with a tiny pink jaw clip.
Here's all the girls. Starting with Bella and working your way right they are: Bella in the chair, my friend's doll Julie, Lanie, my friend's doll Sarah, Nellie, Julie, Alana, Miranda, Jess, my friend's doll McKenna, Piper, Quinn, Emily, and Sofi.
Here's Bella and her LeapPad.
And here's Bella with Miranda on the left and my friend's doll Julie on the right. The "cake" is a candle that looks like a real cake. It's actually kind of funny because in all the pictures, it looks like the cake is on fire but it was really only lit up by one little wick.
